Feeding guide
As a general guide an adult dog needs 2-3% of their bodyweight per day and a puppy up to 6%

Being a fresh product once defrosted, keep for 48-72hours in a refrigerator. This meal should be fed raw. Thoroughly defrost food before serving.

Always remember good hygiene practices, handle as you would any other raw meat. Wash hands and utensils after handling.

Calculated at checkout, Collection from our warehouse available, select option at checkout. We are always trying to reduce our carbon footprint. Sending raw via courier typically involves using bulky polystyrene boxes. We want to get away from these boxes and as such we use a cardboard box lined with polystyrene. Under normal condition this works fine, on occasion the product can arrive with a small loss in hardness of the food which has no effect on the food itself. It can be simply popped in the freezer to harden off. By placing an order with us you agree to this form of packaging and accept that a small loss of product hardness may be experienced. Do bear in mind that most other producers have already defrosted their meat for processing and refrozen it whereas we are one of very few that produce from frozen

How we make our raw

Making raw food diets for dogs can be rather simple. Today there are many in the market so why is it that all chicken is not the same or beef or any other meat or food? In essence it really comes down to the quality of the materials used and the way the meat is processed.

Take the vast majority of producers and you’ll find they buy their material frozen and when its time to process it they defrost It which take a number of days, mince it, package it and refreeze it. This is normal practice and something the majority do successfully. The result being that you produce a homogenous mix of consistent colour and texture, some might say a pate like mix despite the chunky texture at the point of mincing. Whilst there is little wrong with this we do things a little differently.

To create a quality product its essential that you use quality material. Cheap cuts of meat that are high in fat or simply using offal are cheap ways to make a food but doesn’t give you a quality food. Whilst for some diets you do want a little offal it shouldn’t be the majority of the food. This often results in a fatty and often smelly food and whilst your dog might like the smell doesn’t mean its the best for him or her.

Just like human food high quality fresh ingredients are key to making a great food. We only use UK sourced meats,(foreign meats can be cheaper) often locally sourced from trusted suppliers. If you take our beef for example we offer a regular 60% lean beef and a 85% extra lean beef which is pretty similar to your  Sunday roast in terms of fat.Its also from an abattoir about 60 miles from our factory and was mooing just a day or two prior to arriving at our facility

We take our quality material and process from frozen, we don’t defrost, our food is frozen at the abattoir and defrosted by the end user ensuring the highest level of freshness. To make our food we simply take material from the freezer, mince it at -18 and bag it. If we need to add offal or vegetables these are added just prior to bagging. Our process is automated and from frozen material to finished product takes just a few minutes.

We believe we produce the chunkiest mince on the market. All of our boneless meats are minced at 30mm and that means its chunky!, really chunky! And we do chunky like no other. Our meats with bone are typically processed on a 20mm plate which is some way beyond the norm. Overall our product is honest, you can see every particle, we can’t add water or ingredients of a lesser quality and whilst you will see fat for example you can see every drop of it
